Analyse af 420 Nordiske Fintech SMV løsninger

On analyzing the Nordic fintech sector and their value propositions for SMEs, we identified 420 companies and eight main themes. The eight themes represent subcategories wherein fintech companies can actively work to simplify

the daily lives of SME owners and employees.

We showcase the growth potential of these fintech companies and the direct value-add to SMEs. From these case studies, several findings were observed. Firstly, the importance of customer service and diligent focus on delivering value to the client is very clear. Topics of value revolved around assisting with complex issues and alleviating resources through automation and smart processes. Secondly, the notion of plug-and-play and how ease of use and ease of integration play a huge role in the SME’s adopting of fintech products became evident. Thirdly, drivers such as innovative solutions as well as realigning the ‘product-thinking’ to ‘platform-thinking’, allowing fintechs to better capture trends and respond to client needs proved significant in what the fintechs interviewed believe plays a large role in the SMEs adopting fintech as well as retention.

We end the report by exploring the future of SME value provided by fintech companies through the perspective of established leaders in the space.
